SpeedGrade DDS is a new application optimized for typical dailies workflows where data logging and turnaround times for grading are essential.

SpeedGrade DDS detects takes automatically, either from metadata provided by a film scanner – or via real-time scene detection. The application supports data logging for both sound and reel/take information. Advanced sound logging tools include automatic slate detection and stereo down-mixing of multiple sound channels. SpeedGrade DDS stores all grading information non-destructively as metadata, which can be re-used in the final DI. Support for IRIDAS .Look files enable a seamless integration with looks designed on set. Output options include real time playout to tape as well as rendering to frame sequences and movie file format, including burn-ins and timecode.

Work Faster

SpeedGrade DDS is designed for efficiency which means getting work done faster in fewer steps than with full-on DI systems. You can render out to frame sequence or video formats if you need to, or playout to tape via NVIDIA SDI-out in real time.

SpeedGrade DDS uses proven non-destructive grading technology: until you render it out, everything is editable. The .Look format also makes it easy to send, receive, and apply color presets.

SpeedGrade DDS supports the ARRISSCAN flash frame detection for automatic take assignment as well as ARRISCAN defect map visualization: source material defects are displayed as overlay in SpeedGrade.
